Job Description:

The Director of Legal Strategy and Compliance will provide expert legal advice to senior stakeholders, leading the development and implementation of our organization's legal strategy and systems for managing its legal risks.

This role is responsible for directing the legal functions across the organization, providing leadership and guidance to our team. The successful candidate should demonstrate financial stewardship, efficiently managing team resources and prioritizing workloads to deliver outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert legal advice to Senior Executives and internal stakeholders to facilitate management and resolution of a diverse range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters
  • Leading the organization's legal function, including providing leadership and guidance to our small team
  • Effectively managing service delivery, including productive relationships with external legal providers and advisers and ensuring quality of service delivery
  • Keeping abreast of contemporary legal advancements and developing innovative legal options in response to challenging operational requirements
  • Assessing and responding to the impact of changes in the operating environment on relevant legislation, legal, policy and regulatory frameworks to ensure a high level of integration with the broader context

Requirements:
