About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our Contaminated Land team. As an Intermediate or Senior Environmental Scientist, you will provide strategic and practical solutions to clients with a broad range of environmental management challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Project management of contaminated land projects including planning and execution of fieldwork, co-ordination of internal resources, contractor management, budget management, and client correspondence.
- Assist with the scope, design, and costing of contaminated land and groundwater investigations.
- Provide mentoring and training to graduates and junior professionals throughout the delivery of projects.
- Lead the preparation of technical reports, focused on presenting information in a clear and logical manner, supported by appropriate interpretation of technical data in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation.
- Assist in undertaking fieldwork which may involve sampling of environmental media (e.g. soil, groundwater, surface water, or soil vapour), undertaking hydrogeological investigations, or supervision of subcontractors conducting works such as drilling, excavation, or remediation activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3-6 years' experience within the field of contaminated land assessment and/or environmental assessment and remediation.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and verbal communication skills.
- A client service focus with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Valid/current driver's licence.
