Aviation Cargo Examiner Job

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of cargo goods and services flowing through our facilities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

The duties of this position include:

  • Performing security screenings of freight consignments using screening equipment;
  • Following established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with transportation security regulations and guidelines;
  • Identifying and responding to potential threats, prohibited weapons, and suspicious behaviours;
  • Documenting and reporting any security incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

  • A Certificate II Transport Security Protection (Air Cargo Examination Officer) qualification;
  • A QLD Security Licence;
  • An AUS or relevant port Aviation Security Identification Card; and
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate.

Applicants should also have excellent attention to detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
