Job Description

This position involves providing high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice to build excellence in teaching and learning within the school.

As a key member of the teaching team, you will be responsible for modelling exemplary classroom practice, leading and modelling the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.

You will work closely with the school leadership team to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice and provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development.

The successful candidate will have experience in the curriculum area specified for the position and be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching practice.
  • High-level expertise in teaching and learning practice, including the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
  • Ability to implement school priorities and lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies.
  • Proven track record of providing evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development.
  • Experience in working with teachers to evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
