We are seeking an experienced Cost Expert to join our Procurement Team in a role that will drive cost analytics and operational excellence. This position will support the procurement team by reviewing and analyzing supplier & commodity pricing, discrepancies, fluctuations, and changes, assessing our costs against market expectations, and being a point of contact for pricing increase enquiries from our Merchandise Team & supplier network.

Responsibilities include:

- Gathering and analyzing financial data
- Focal point for all supplier price movement
- Monitoring and advising on impacting markets, such as local and overseas commodities
- Determining standard costs and investigating variances with actuals
- Preparing detailed reports
- Estimating product costs
- Forecasting and analyzing costs of processes, labour and inventory
- Suggesting cost-reducing or profitable solutions
- Conducting market research to support future business planning
- Scoping, developing, and maintaining various solutions, including models, reports, and dashboards

Requirements:

- Analyst or similar experience
- Skilled in data, operational, and financial analysis
- Ability to manage large data sets and develop complex analyses
- Delivering actionable insights and recommendations
- Knowledge of enterprise software and data extraction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical aptitude
- Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
