Structural Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to take the next step in your career, working on diverse projects and collaborating with industry experts.

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in designing, analysing and assessing structures across various projects in the buildings and infrastructure space. You will work closely with Senior Engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet client expectations.

You will have the chance to engage with clients from different sectors, including architects, builders, developers, and more. Your contributions will play a significant role in business development and diversification of the Newcastle office.

A Day in the Life

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and manage designs
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project goals
  • Use design software to create structural works plans
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with regulation requirements
  • Prepare project reports, technical documents, and proposals

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3+ years' experience in Structural design
  • Proficiency in SPACE GASS, Strand7, ETABS, and/or RAPT highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of contemporary design standards such as AS1170, AS4100, AS3600, AS3700, AS1720
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
