Job Title: Operational Officer

About the Role:

Mater Food Services is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Operational Officers – Room Service Representatives. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by taking meal orders, ensuring patient safety guidelines and scripting are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking accurate patient meal orders and providing excellent customer service standards.
  • Familiarity with the Room Service menu and ability to describe available options confidently.
  • Explaining menu options and adhering to guidelines and coding compliance for patients with Therapeutic Diet requirements.
  • Performing administrative tasks, troubleshooting patient and staff enquiries, and liaising with Clinical staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with patients and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • High level of attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Confidence using computers and technology, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office required and familiarity with meal ordering systems desirable.
