Healthscope is currently on the lookout for skilled cleaning professionals to become part of our vibrant team in a casual capacity.

We are interested in individuals with a strong background in cleaning, ideally within a healthcare or similar setting, to work on a rotating 7-day schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and nights. Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to receive training for additional roles in the Food Services Department.

About Healthscope

At Healthscope, you will be part of a dedicated team comprising surgeons, specialized doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. Our facility is equipped with 189 beds and includes 11 operating theatres, a hybrid theatre, and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. We also feature a cardiac suite with a catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit, along with a private maternity suite and a special care nursery for families. Our Oncology Centre provides specialized care for individuals undergoing cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering high-quality cleaning services
  • Adhering to infection control standards and workplace health and safety policies
  • Providing exceptional customer service to staff, clients, and patients
  • Following manual handling protocols
  • Supporting production teams to ensure patient satisfaction
  • Upholding professional standards by complying with Healthscope's policies and participating in performance evaluations and mandatory training. Ensuring confidentiality and privacy for patients at all times.
  • Contributing to Healthscope's commitment to safety and quality improvement in all areas of work

Requirements for Success

  • Proven experience as a cleaner or in infection control cleaning within a healthcare or aged care environment
  • A strong enthusiasm and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Availability to work on a flexible rotating roster, including afternoons, evenings, and occasional night shifts
