Lead Accounting Professional

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Accounting Professional to lead and review the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, providing expert advisory services, and delivering solutions that add long-term value.

  • Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
  • Work with Partners to provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
  • Assist with staff training, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Lead and review the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs
  • Develop and manage client relationships, providing expert advisory service and solutions to add long-term value
  • Lead and review the preparation of BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT, and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
  • Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  • Participate in training seminars, team meetings, and social events

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Chartered Accounting Practice
  • Chartered Accountant qualification or in progress
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
  • Expertise using accounting software, including APS, MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
