Job Description

As a compassionate lawyer, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women and children experiencing family violence.

  • Deliver trauma-informed legal assistance in family violence and related family law matters at outreach sites, including Maternal Child Health services, health locations, and Aboriginal Healing Services.
  • Collaborate closely with advocates, nurses, community-controlled organisations, and other support services to offer holistic support.
  • Contribute to community legal education, secondary consultations, and strengthen relationships with service partners to support early intervention and culturally safe service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and casework to women experiencing or at risk of family violence.
  • Work independently across multiple outreach locations.
  • Develop strong relationships with service partners to support early intervention and culturally safe service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Eligibility to hold an unrestricted practising certificate.
  • Experience in family violence, family law, and related legal areas.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse communities.
