Principal - Environmental Strategist

A challenging opportunity has emerged for a technical leader to join our Environment team as Principal - Environmental Approvals.
We are passionate about delivering technically excellent environmental assessments that make a real difference to communities. As Principal - Environmental Approvals, you will lead the delivery of large, complex impact assessments for key infrastructure projects, manage multidisciplinary teams and guide projects within tight timelines and regulatory frameworks.
- Leading the development, design and delivery of complex environmental approval projects such as EES' in Victoria.
- Project interface leadership and being the key point of contact with clients and regulators.
- Providing technical direction, leadership and growth opportunities to junior members of the team.
- Preparing project proposals and business development activities.
- Fostering key client relationships and representing us within the marketplace.
- Project management including managing teams and negotiating contracts.
This role is ideal for a technical expert ready to step into a high-impact position.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Recognised tertiary qualifications in environmental science, engineering, planning or law.
- 10+ years relevant industry experience in environmental approvals within consulting or private industry environments.
- Experience in environmental impact assessment including EES' and/or other statutory approval processes in major transport, water infrastructure and/or renewable energy projects in Victoria.
- Advanced level of technical knowledge in statutory requirements for Victorian and Commonwealth approvals.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple streams of work and communicate effectively to internal stakeholders, clients and regulators.
