Job Description:

As a Director of Risk and Compliance, you will lead a team of five professionals in shaping the organisation's risk strategy and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals. You will work closely with the executive team and Board to develop strategic initiatives that elevate risk maturity across the business.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director Quality & Risk, you will be responsible for managing insurance placements, supplier relationships, and incident response frameworks. Your expertise in policy governance and commercial law will guide the development and implementation of robust frameworks that support decision-making from the front line to the Boardroom.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of risk management professionals
  • Developing and implementing risk strategies
  • Managing insurance placements and supplier relationships
  • Designing and implementing incident response frameworks
  • Collaborating with the executive team and Board on strategic initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in risk management, legal, or commercial background
  • Proven experience leading and implementing risk and compliance functions
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with high levels of commerciality and pragmatism
  • Ability to develop and lead a team while mentoring and driving continuous improvement
  • Experience reviewing and enhancing policies, procedures, and systems
  • Capability to translate strategic objectives into operational deliverables
