About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant Lead to play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare experiences. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient flow, coordinate appointments, and provide outstanding service that enhances patient satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Patient Care and Communication: You'll greet patients warmly, manage inquiries across various channels, and collaborate with our Health Navigator for smooth patient support.
  • Clinic Operations: You'll schedule appointments for our multidisciplinary team, manage electronic health records, coordinate diagnostic tests, and conduct initial calls for new members.
  • Team Leadership: You'll train and mentor team members, work collaboratively with clinical staff to enhance patient flow and clinic efficiency, and contribute to policy development.
  • Administrative Support: You'll coordinate special services like developmental checks and DEXA scans, manage medical supply inventory, and support new service implementation.

We're Looking for Candidates with:

  • A strong background in medical office assistance, preferably with experience in a pediatric or family-centered care setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • A driven problem solver with a growth mindset, passionate about enhancing operations and patient care.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems and proficiency in using technology to streamline processes.

Key Requirements:

Full-time position based in Victoria, BC. Estimated salary: $27-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
