Electrical Control Systems Deployment and Support Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will be based at a leading client site in Moorebank, where you will play a key part in the deployment and ongoing support of electrical control systems.

  • Design, document, test, and commission material handling automation hardware and PLC software.
  • Provide second-level technical support to maintenance teams as needed.
  • Ensure conformance to OHS&E standards in the design and execution of all work.
  • Collaborate on budget costing and quoting processes.
  • Perform regular system diagnostics and analysis procedures and provide customer reports.
  • Create PLC programs and configure SCADA and PLC-related equipment.
  • Report on designed/installed equipment that is not performing to specifications.
  • Test and commission systems on site.
  • Develop test plans and operator & technical manuals.
  • Train client personnel and provide customer support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline or electrical trade with tertiary qualifications.
  • Knowledge of PLC configuration, programming, and commissioning (Siemens S7 preferred).
  • Familiarity with SCADA applications like ICONICS, CITEC, and WINCC.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams/projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
