Our client has one of the most advanced and automated facilities in Australia.
The Opportunity:
Working in partnership with our client, we are currently looking for an experienced and capable Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join the Engineering and Maintenance team at their South Sydney facility.
This position plays a critical part in ensuring continuous operation in a dynamic environment leading to Continuous Improvement of the electrical and control systems.
The successful candidate will lead the technical specialists in continued operation and maintenance of complex electrical and automation systems and will initiate and oversee minor to medium capital projects, whilst providing leadership and mentoring to a multidisciplinary team.
The role is integral to delivering safe and efficient operations that support the businesses strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of performance, compliance, and reliability of all electrical and control systems across the business.
Lead planning, execution and commissioning of minor to medium capital projects for electrical and automated systems whilst driving continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance with regard to PLC Programming, SCADA / HMI development, safety systems and infrastructure.
Oversee routine and preventative maintenance ensuring asset performance and reliability.
Identify opportunity for continuous improvement and implement effective engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements according to WHS legislation and Australian Standards.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

The Successful candidate:
Will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering ( Assessed and recognised in Australia)
5-7 years experience in Design, Commissioning and Maintenance of PLC's, Drives, SCADA/HMI control systems.
Experience in a heavy industrial or highly automated environment is a must.

Electrical design, drafting ( Auto CAD ) and documentation.
PLC Programming ( Siemans S7, Omron )
SCADA / HMI Development ( Win CC, CITECT )
Sensor Configuration & Industrial Networking ( LAN, WLAN, , Profinet, RS232 / 485
Root Cause Analysis and fault finding of business assets.
High voltage system knowledge and compliance to relevant standards.
