  • Diligent and motivated CSSD Technicians can now apply for a full-time Loan Officer position at Hurstville Private Hospital.
  • Imagine your new role where you will check loan equipment in and out of a busy Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), coordinate hospital requirements with supply representatives and theatre staff, ensuring all necessary loan instrumentation and prostheses are sterilised and ready for use when needed.
  • Your day may also involve providing your skills as a Sterilising Technician when required, ensuring compliance at all times to overall patient safety with quality reusable medical equipment through sterilisation and disinfection per HICMR standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Check loan equipment in and out of the busy CSSD
  • Coordinate hospital requirements with supply representatives and theatre staff
  • Ensure all necessary loan instrumentation and prostheses are sterilised and ready for use when needed
  • Provide skills as a Sterilising Technician when required

Applicants should have a Certificate 3 in Sterilisation Services or Equivalent, minimum 2 years' experience in sterilisation, exceptional collaborative interpersonal, leadership and well-developed verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care, compliance with Australian Standards relevant to sterilisation, experience with national standards and policy implementation within sterilisation, experience in procurement and resource management within healthcare, proficient computer skills and experience with reporting systems, commitment to professional development and structured learning.
