About the Role

This teaching opportunity is based at Newling Public School and involves supporting students with hearing impairments across various educational settings.

The successful applicant will have a proven ability to develop, deliver and evaluate differentiated learning plans to meet the complex needs of these students.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the teacher will need to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and external agencies.

The school values teamwork, student voice and individualised instruction, providing an appropriately challenging learning environment for diverse students.

A current driver's licence and willingness to travel between work sites are also requirements for this position.

Selective Criteria:

  • Approval to teach Hearing Impairment, primary and/or secondary. Auslan desirable.
  • Demonstrated capacity and willingness to engage in professional learning, including hearing technology, Key Word Sign, Auslan and augmentative communication systems.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with a proven capacity to manage competing demands and deadlines.

Benefits:

This full-time teaching opportunity offers a relocation support payment of up to $8,000 for eligible applicants.

An unconditional full approval to teach with the relevant authority is a requirement for this position.
