Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Smithfield. As a key member of our workshop-based team, you will be responsible for providing technical support on Home Appliances & Air Conditioners to staff, resellers, service agents, and end users.

About the Role
  • Provide technical support to staff, resellers, service agents, and end users via phone and email.
  • Repair damaged/faulty products for re-sale, prepare write-off documentation, and strip usable/saleable parts for disposal.
  • Analyze and approve warranty service calls received, coordinate the repair process with Service Agents, including the dispatch of spare parts.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Testing service/warranty returns, qualify and identify faults, provide reports to the NSM and product development team.
  2. Provide technical support to staff, resellers, service agents, and end users.
  3. Repair damaged/ faulty products for re-sale, prepare write off, of damaged/ faulty products, stripping of usable / saleable parts before disposal.
  4. Analyse and approve warranty service calls received, coordinate the repair process with Service Agents, including the despatch of spare parts.
  5. Assist with testing of product samples from OEM factories.
  6. Assist with the sale of spare parts.
Requirements
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade Certificate - Essential (Certificate IV in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration – Electro Technology).
  • Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) RAC01 – Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence - Essential.
  • NSW Contractor / Qualified Supervisor Licence in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Electrical - desirable.
  • Restricted Electrical Licence - desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years Refrigeration & Air Conditioning industry experience.
  • Fault diagnosis/problem solving abilities/use of nitrogen.
  • Technical writing/communication/Ability to decipher technical data/wiring diagrams.
  • A professional telephone manner.
  • Be a team player.
Benefits
  • $51 per hour + super.
  • Monday to Friday, day shift hours with some flexibility on start time.
