Senior Energy Strategy Advisor

Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives that expand our Energy Markets Advisory offerings across the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver commercial proposals focused on the energy transition across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Secure and execute strategic advisory projects in the energy markets space and energy transition services.
  • Collaborate with engineers, economists, and data analysts to solve techno economic challenges in the future power sector.
  • Conduct technical and market due diligence assignments, bridging technical teams with economic modelling experts.
  • Undertake policy studies and apply economic theory to energy markets.
  • Provide technical expertise in areas such as market studies, cost benefit analysis, and energy policy.
  • Mentor and develop team capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A relevant tertiary degree in economics, mathematics, statistics/data science, operations research, or engineering.
  • Proven experience in energy market advisory roles, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Strong quantitative modelling skills and research abilities.
  • Expertise in energy/regulatory frameworks applicable to power generation and distribution.
  • Deep understanding of power plant technologies (wind, solar, battery, gas turbine), including performance parameters and cost structures.
  • Knowledge of related industries and technologies such as natural gas, liquid/low carbon fuels, and electricity transmission.
  • Fosters positive communication, articulates complex problems, uses sound commercial acumen to enable a solution-focused approach.
