Automation Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team in Brisbane. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing and supporting deployed automation software by performing effective analysis, design, development and testing to meet business requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technology background with in-depth knowledge of related practices, automation knowledge and market awareness, as well as experience working within environments that encompass cloud-based technologies.

  • Work with multiple areas of the business to build and deliver process automation documentation and do Benefit Analysis
  • Assess current processes and identify best course of action/product for automation
  • Engage with stakeholders within HQ to understand their needs
  • Brief the development team
  • Prepare the implementation, documentation and work with training and roll out of new product releases and enhancements

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with forms and workflow technology
  • An understanding of Agile methodology
  • Experience working within environments that encompass cloud-based technologies
  • Experience with working in an environment that is tracked via an incident management tool

  • Great communication skills, excite people for change
  • Solid technology background with in-depth knowledge of related practices
  • Automation knowledge and market awareness
  • Knowledge of Innovation methodologies and tool kits
  • Aptitude in architecting software and designing technical solutions
  • Experience with source code control (Git), code review workflows, and software versioning models
  • Familiarity with a structured/controlled development environment using a tracking tool (JIRA)
  • Proficiency with writing and maintaining technical documentation via a shared portal (Confluence, Wiki)
  • Demonstrated experience in common programming technologies
