Job Title: Claims Handler

We are seeking a claims processor to join our team of dedicated professionals.
This role involves working closely with injured workers to assist in the processing of their workers compensation claim during challenging times after a workplace accident or injury.
The successful candidate will ensure correct and timely processing of reimbursement for treatment costs and provide exceptional customer service to injured workers and employers.
This entry-level position offers a supportive training program, ideal for those looking to start a career in insurance, change careers, or leverage case management experience.
Duties include managing and processing claims, reviewing requests for compensation, ensuring documentation is received, and performing administrative tasks such as assessing invoices.
The claims processor will also make high-volume client calls, utilize claims management systems, and support the review process for ongoing entitlement for medical and like compensation.
About You:
- Prior work experience in a customer service-based role, especially in fields/roles specialising in medical administration, employment services, rehabilitation, mental health, social work, or health & safety
- Tertiary study in psychology, social work, or similar disciplines (desired but not essential)
- Strong telephone-based conversational skills, administrative skills, and ability to learn and use systems/databases
