Head of Educational Excellence

This position plays a vital role in driving the strategic direction of pedagogy and quality across our services. The successful candidate will champion high-quality service delivery, implement innovative and evidence-based practices, and achieve portfolio KPIs related to educational practice and pedagogy.


About the Position:

The Head of Educational Excellence drives the strategic direction of pedagogy and quality across our services. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this role is responsible for leading quality uplift and embedding exceptional educational practices across the organisation. This includes designing and delivering professional learning, mentoring educational leaders and centre-based teams, leading research partnerships and projects, and contributing to the development of internal policies.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality uplift in educational practice across the organisation.
  • Design and deliver professional learning for staff and centre teams.
  • Mentor educational leaders and centre-based teams.
  • Lead research partnerships and projects to inform practice.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent ACECQA recognised early childhood teacher level qualification.
  • Clear working with children check clearance.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in early education and care.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices, child development, and theoretical foundations in early childhood education.
  • Experience evaluating knowledge, analysing data, and formulating improvement strategies.
  • Experience developing, leading, and nurturing high-performing teams.
