Seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead complex law interpretation work programs and projects that have strategic significance to the government.

Author and/or approve rulings, conduct peer reviews, and manage own case work while providing support to less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate and deliver technical or sensitive law interpretation work programs or projects with operational significance.
  • Develop less experienced staff by overseeing provision of specialist advice and proactively developing their skills.
  • Research and critically analyse information, consider alternatives and identify effective solutions to address current and emerging issues.

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to provide authoritative, accurate advice on the law.
  • Ability to oversee provision of specialist advice and develop less experienced staff.
  • Recognized qualifications in a tax, business or law-related discipline are highly regarded.

Australian citizenship is required for this role. You will contribute to strategy development and inform the future direction of our work areas.
