About This Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join its team in O'Sullivan Beach. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of production machines and equipment.

As a key member of the dedicated maintenance team, you will work together to complete root cause failure analysis and enhance production machine reliability. Your expertise will also be utilised to build capability and support the afternoon shift teams.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that offers a competitive remuneration package, including a profit share plan (bonus incentive scheme). You will also enjoy flexibility for work/life balance, access to an Employee Assistance Provider, on-site car parking, on-site physio and training and development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect production and quality critical equipment and fault find
  • Resolve issues and fix any non-conformances
  • Seek ways to continuously improve maintenance practices and strategies
  • Follow the safe system of work, isolate equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Fault-find on electrical equipment including PLC's, drives and instrumentation systems
  • Perform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findings

About You:

You are driven by self-development, committed to success, and have technical experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment. You will have:

  • A strong commitment to safety
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Electrical trade qualifications and current A Grade SA Electrical License
  • Initiative in carrying out equipment repairs
