We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Partner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, driving organisational effectiveness, talent management, and change management.
The successful candidate will have the ability to translate business needs into HR strategies and initiatives, providing expert advice and guidance to leaders and managers.
This role requires a proven track record of success in project development and management, with the ability to plan, develop, deliver, and monitor projects to achieve agreed outcomes and timelines.
About the RoleThis 12-month parental leave contract role plays a critical role in aligning our business objectives with our people strategy.
You will collaborate closely with leaders, managers, and employees to drive the development and implementation of P&C programs and initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
You will lead and support projects that focus on enhancing and optimising organisation culture, attracting and retaining top talent, and driving employee engagement.
- Collaborate with leaders to understand business objectives and proactively develop and execute people strategies that support those goals while promoting our EVP and other key frameworks.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance employee experience, productivity, and engagement through effective P&C initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership and influence business decisions by bringing HR expertise and insights to the table.
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business leaders and managers, providing guidance on people-related matters, including organisational design, talent management, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
Strategic Partnership:
- Analyse structures and processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with leaders to address performance gaps, build high-performing teams, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead change management efforts to support successful implementation of organisational initiatives.
Talent Enablement & Development:
- Collaborate with the P&C team and Talent Acquisition Lead to attract and select top talent aligned with business needs and culture.
- Support the development and implementation of talent management strategies, including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
- Coach and mentor leaders to build their capabilities and drive employee growth and development.
Employee Relations & Governance:
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Review policies and procedures, ensuring they are practical, pragmatic, and relevant.
- Provide support and advice to staff on policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies are aligned to brand tone and key messaging.
Employee Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment by championing diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee and support the P&C team to conduct employee surveys and analyse feedback to identify areas of improvement and drive meaningful action plans.
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years' experience in a strategic People and Culture/Human Resources role with experience in project development and management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of organisational effectiveness, talent management, and change management, with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
