A key role for a motivated and experienced Mining Coordinator to join our team in Wollongong, Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled coordinator with extensive underground coal experience, focusing on cut and flit mining and/or gateroad development. Our ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be able to motivate others, and lead by example to ensure safe and productive projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate underground coal mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency and productivity;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, analyzing data to inform future decisions;
  • Coach and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in UG Coal Cut & Flit and/or Development works;
  • NSW Deputy qualifications essential;
  • Current S123/G2 Supervisory Statement of Attainments;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams;
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, managing, and delivering projects within agreed timeframes and budgets;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to complete reports in agreed timeframes;
  • Advocate for continuous improvement and setting high standards of work;
  • Experience coaching and mentoring crews is highly regarded.
