This role is focused on providing expert support to clinical teams in a compliance-related capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Team Leader's inbox, escalating clinical, legal, and operational matters as needed.
About the PositionThe position involves coordinating internal processes related to privacy and information sharing. This includes maintaining and updating central registers, conducting governance audits, and contributing to OHS compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and prioritise the Team Leader's inbox, escalating clinical, legal, and operational matters as needed
- Coordinate internal processes related to privacy and information sharing
- Maintain and update central registers including FOI logs, risk incidents, and information sharing responses
- Conduct governance audits and contribute to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance initiatives
- Assist in training and developing staff resources for documentation and information management
- Ensure adherence to information sharing schemes (CISS, FVISS, and Child Protection protocols)
- Manage Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, particularly those involving clinical records
- Monitor compliance with privacy laws, health record legislation, and internal documentation standards
- Mandatory Qualifications to practice as a MCH Nurse in Victoria
- Current registration with AHPRA: Registered Nurse (Division 1), Registered Midwife
- Accredited postgraduate Diploma/Degree (or equivalent) in Child and Family Health Nursing
- At least five years' experience in Maternal and Child Health nursing
- Proven leadership skills and experience in developing high-performing teams and innovative service delivery
- Strong background in change management, project delivery, and continuous improvement
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather and document business requirements from various stakeholders
- Outstanding time management and organisational abilities to manage priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to resolve complex issues and collaborate effectively
- An employee Working with Children Check
- Experience in local government (desirable)
