**Join a Leading Civil Construction Company in Queensland**

We are seeking an experienced Junior Civil Estimator to join our Pre-contracts team at Shadforth Civil Contractors, one of the largest family-owned civil construction companies in Queensland. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for various civil engineering projects across residential and commercial subdivisions, as well as major infrastructure projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for civil projects, including breakdowns of materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Evaluate project specifications, scope of works, and design documents to ensure thorough, principle-based pricing.
  • Identify risks and opportunities with project managers and engineers, raising key points early to mitigate risks or capitalize on potential benefits.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on project expectations and procurement requirements.

**About You:**

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in civil construction, preferably with site experience in industrial or residential subdivisions.
  • A strong desire to grow a long-term career in estimating with a leading family-owned civil contractor.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in Autocad, Bluebeam, or 12D is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with all levels of stakeholders.
