Bastion Group is a pioneering HR recruitment company that specializes in large-scale project management, civil construction, traffic management, and tunnelling. We're currently seeking a highly skilled Safety Advisor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and implement processes to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections to identify potential risks and implement mitigating measures.
  • Work closely with contractors and stakeholders to provide guidance on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate incident investigations to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or higher in a related field, such as safety or a relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in safety roles within high-risk construction environments, preferably with electrical, mechanical, civil, and roads experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of workplace and contractor safety management processes within complex environments.
  • A well-developed understanding of occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting or leading incident investigations, including report development and corrective action implementation.
