SAS Developer Job Description

Halcyon Knights is seeking a skilled SAS Developer to join our team. As a SAS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining SAS programs that support the needs of our EDW. This role includes supporting the daily data delivery process, month-end processing, and responding to data-related requests in the BAU pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve existing reports and data interfaces using SAS
  • Convert existing SAS code into high-quality SAS code that is efficient, automated, maintainable, and follows industry best practices
  • Mentor colleagues and develop their skill sets to understand SAS coding better
  • Develop, code, test, debug, and document SAS programs in SAS Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio
  • Utilize advanced SAS Macros and SQL to meet business requirements
  • Cross-environment coding for data manipulation across SAS 9.4 and Viya environments
  • Analyse business needs and deploy SAS programs in Production
  • Identify gaps in requirements and communicate effectively to resolve issues
Requirements:
  • Data analysis and development in SAS analytics platform (Including SAS Viya 4.0 experience)
  • Strong expertise in SAS coding (preferably having gone through "SAS Programming 2" course), work with SAS Enterprise Guide/SAS Studio against clustered environments
  • Experience using "proc cas" to work against CAS engine libraries will be preferable. Proficiency in working across SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya environments with Linux Server
  • Ability to work independently along with excellent analytical and communication skills
  • SAS Certified Base Programmer, preferred: SAS Certified Advanced
  • Expertise in SQL

  • Up to $1050.00 per day inc Super or ex GST
