Main Responsibilities:

  • Precision Cutting & Fitting: Skillfully shape and adjust tiles around obstacles and openings using manual and power cutting tools.
  • Adhesive Application: Mix and spread cement, glue, or other bonding materials with hand tools for secure tile placement.
  • Tiling Installation & Grouting: Lay tiles evenly, ensuring clean and precise grouting for a polished finish.
  • Surface Measurement & Planning: Carefully review project plans and accurately measure surfaces for tile placement.
  • Surface Repair & Preparation: Fill cracks and holes to create a smooth base for tiling.
  • Pre-Tiling Preparation: Clean and level all surfaces before commencing tiling work.
  • Site Inspection: Assess interior and exterior areas to determine the best approach for tiling.
  • Surface Smoothing: Ensure walls, floors, and other surfaces are even and ready for tiling installation.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Hold a Certificate III or equivalent qualification; adequate experience may be considered in lieu of qualifications.
  • Experience: Demonstrate proven experience in wall and floor tiling with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Technical Skills: Possess the ability to measure, cut, and lay tiles with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Attention to Detail: Showcase strong focus on quality workmanship and precision.
  • Work Ethic: Display reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Compliance: Understand industry standards, safety regulations, and waterproofing requirements.
