Office Coordinator Role

The Office of the Chief Executive Officer plays a crucial role in enabling the organisation to deliver its functions effectively by providing business infrastructure. The CEO's office delivers various services, including secretariat services to key committees, advisory committees, and working groups, as well as legal, governance, finance, procurement, operational, and executive services.

The APS6 Office Coordinator supports the Secretariat team in delivering secretariat services, ensuring section and agency goals are achieved. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing secretariat service delivery for statutory bodies
  • Coordinating travel, accommodation arrangements, and meeting logistics
  • Contributing to operational arrangements, financial management for the Pricing Authority and other key committees and working groups
  • Providing administrative support to ministerial and parliamentary processes and requests
  • Identifying and implementing improved work practices for correspondence, documents, data entry, and record maintenance
  • Managing committee and working group contact lists and membership details
  • Providing general communication to multiple stakeholders
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders, jurisdictional representatives, industry groups, and agencies
  • Managing the committee meeting calendar for operational efficiencies
  • Monitoring project progress and contributing to project plans
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of secretariat policy and procedures

The successful candidate will possess high-level administrative expertise in a complex environment, strategic thinking, highly developed stakeholder management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to use initiative, excellent time management, and attention to detail.
