Project Engineer: A Key Role in Project Planning and Execution



About the Job

The role of a Project Engineer is crucial in leading engineering, planning, and coordination efforts for successful project execution. As a Project Engineer, you will plan, execute, coordinate, monitor, and adjust work activities to achieve project plans, work scopes, and goals.



Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice on design, fabrication, construction, installation, maintenance, and integrity of piping systems and infrastructure.
  • Compile technical information and drawings for work packs, develop material takeoffs (MTOs) with knowledge of material grades and schedules.
  • Manage procurement activities and subcontractors within project specifications.
  • Project reporting, forecasting, and costing, as well as close-out activities including punch listing and management of defect reports.


Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in multi-disciplinary project teams in the energy/oil & gas sector.
  • Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
  • Knowledge of engineering activities related to offshore projects, from front-end engineering design (FEED) to decommissioning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Project required, Primavera P6 desirable.
  • Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering).
