Child and Family Therapist Opportunity

This role involves providing therapeutic support to children and young people who have experienced trauma. The position requires a strong understanding of child development, attachment theory, and the impact of trauma on children's lives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with children and young people in a therapeutic setting. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, carers, and other professionals.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and providing evidence-based interventions to promote healing and recovery.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including psychotherapy, family therapy, and group therapy
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and service delivery
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and research findings
Key Selection Criteria:
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling
  • Extensive experience working with children and young people in a therapeutic setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
