About the OPPORTUNITY
Our Central Functions Business Unit is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team based at Adelaide, Melbourne or Newcastle. We offer flexible work arrangements, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and optimising our corporate and project Networking infrastructure to ensure efficient and secure communication and data transfer within the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and other networked systems
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability
- Configuring and installing network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls and other hardware devices
- Identifying and implementing improvements and optimisations to process and technology
- Participating in recovery actions in the event of a network failure or major network incident
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience + vendor certifications)
- Experience in designing, implementing and supporting Enterprise networking environments including LAN, WAN and DataCentre
- Strong understanding of foundational technologies and ability to utilise them to adapt to new systems
