About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of critical utility packages on one of Tasmania's most significant infrastructure projects.

This landmark development will deliver world-class port facilities to support Tasmania's future growth. As Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery of HV power packages, including incoming HV works, substations, coordination with TasPorts and subcontractors, and overseeing lock-out/tag-out safety and commissioning\
  • Delivering fire services, including fire reticulation, liaison with the Chief Fire Warden, and compliance with building permits\
  • Collaborating on essential services, including sewer, internal communications, CCTV, weighbridge, and systems that operate the ship ramp\
  • Managing stakeholder engagement, close coordination with TT-Line, building surveyors, TasPorts, authorities and multiple stakeholders to manage design, approvals and commissioning\
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, and clients\
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently\
  • Identifying and mitigating risks, developing contingency plans, and implementing solutions to ensure project success\
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards\
  • Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery\
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve project performance, efficiency, and productivity\
  • Managing budgets and resources to achieve project objectives\
  • Providing regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders\
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance project outcomes\
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies to maintain professional competence\
  • Participating in quality control processes to ensure high-quality outcomes\
