Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Nowra, NSW. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client caseloads and develop personalized rehabilitation plans to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Collaborate with employers, employees, medical professionals, and allied health experts to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to identify suitable employment opportunities for workers with workplace injuries or motor vehicle accidents.
  • Work across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, employers, and stakeholders to ensure successful rehabilitation outcomes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling.
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC) or Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia (RCAA) as a Rehabilitation Counsellor.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, employers, and stakeholders.
  • Compassion, empathy, and kindness are essential qualities for this role.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance are mandatory.
