The role of Innovation Systems Engineer involves a multifaceted approach to designing and optimizing defense systems that prioritize security and shape the future of space defense. As an integral part of this process, you will provide technical and programmatic support to government clients for all lab activities.

Key responsibilities include offering subject matter expertise to customer leadership on emerging technologies, including AI, and initiatives related to space systems capabilities. You will also advise customer and enterprise leadership on the efficacy of planned lab initiatives, considering cost, schedule, performance, risk, and opportunities.

Requirements
  • Ts/si clearance with a polygraph is mandatory.
  • A bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (stem) or relevant field, along with nine years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master's degree in stem or relevant field, and seven years of relevant experience are acceptable.
  • At least seven years of hands-on systems engineering experience, including preparation of necessary system engineering artifacts.
  • Demonstrated expertise across full systems engineering lifecycle and project management.
  • Experience gathering and identifying actionable requirements for new capabilities.
  • Familiarity with devops, devsecops, agile development, and ai; digital engineering/model based systems engineering and associated tools.
  • Polished communication skills, impeccable interpersonal skills, and personal judgment; confident presenting analysis and recommendations to all levels of government.
  • Hands-on jira and confluence experience for intra- and inter-team communications.
  • Expert user in microsoft office applications (powerpoint, word, excel, access, project, visio).
