The Role

As a Nmftrading Software Engineer – Platform (SE-P), you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our trading systems. You will have the opportunity to rotate onto mission critical projects encompassing everything from trading, positions and risk, through to market connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with traders and developers to help solve problems in real time
  • Develop your talents across a broad array of technical disciplines
  • Work in a constantly evolving environment with new challenges and opportunities to learn every day
  • Maintain a keen interest in industry best practice in our field to ensure we are pushing towards constant industry leading performance
  • Consult with the business to ensure the technology is relevant to the requirements of the business and to ensure by in from key stakeholders
  • Constantly test, review and analyze our systems and technology including improving the coding and protocols in place to ensure optimal performance
  • Proactively collaborate on ideas around innovation to our Technology as well as our processes to ensure we are operating at optimal level
  • Critically analyze our in-house Trading Platform to ensure it is optimized for efficiency and performance
Requirements
  • Development in either Java, C++ or C#
  • A scripting language, preferably Python
  • Experience working in Linux environments
  • Understanding of network protocols and some experience configuring physical equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine interest in financial markets
  • Strong academic record in a computer science degree
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related field
