Key Job Role

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide high-level legal advice and services across our business. This role involves providing corporate legal advice on various areas, including contract law, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel to support the growth and development of our organization.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to support business objectives.
  • Manage external legal counsel to ensure cost-effective and accurate legal advice.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on legal matters.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law and current unrestricted practising certificate as an Australian Legal Practitioner.
  • Extensive post-admission experience working in corporate legal environments, preferably in superannuation or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Commonwealth and State legislation, particularly as it relates to superannuation, advice, and life insurance.
