Compassionate Nursing Caregiver Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for an individual with a spinal cord injury.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in someone's life, working across a 24/7 roster to ensure our client receives comprehensive support. You will be responsible for delivering clinical care services, including pressure area and wound care management, bowel and catheter management, medication and behavioural management, manual handling (including hoist machine), tracheostomy and invasive mechanical ventilation management.

  • Airway assistance and management
  • Continuous clinical assessment of the client
  • Assisting alongside the Support Worker with daily living activities (ADLs)
  • Experience with non-cuffed Tracheostomy care and management
  • Personal care, including skin integrity management and pressure area care
  • Supporting the client with activities at home and out in the community
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Experience working with patients with spinal cord injuries, catheters, ventilators, tracheostomies, and respiratory related matters
  • CPR Certificate (within 12 months)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screener Check
