At Point Care, our mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Associate to join our team.

  1. Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
  2. Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  3. Offer transportation assistance to clients.
  4. Provide respite care to clients and their families.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  7. Foster a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  8. Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion.
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Experience working with complex client needs is an advantage.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with diverse clients, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
