Food Preparation Professionals Wanted

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated food preparation professionals to join our kitchen team.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, washing, peeling, slicing, trimming, chopping, and grating fruits and vegetables, as well as measuring and mixing a wide variety of ingredients.

You will also be tasked with cutting, slicing, and grinding meats, ensuring that all ingredients are stored and rotated effectively to optimize freshness and meet desired stock levels.

Additionally, you will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare workstation with required ingredients and equipment, and maintain station cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
  2. Prepare ingredients according to recipes and guidelines.
  3. Steam vegetables and perform basic cooking tasks.
  4. Evaluate food levels and restock items on time.
  5. Maintain utensils and equipment cleanliness.
  6. Establish stock levels at end of shift and record information on standardized stock sheets.
  7. Remove trash and clear storage bins.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen production.
  2. Excellent understanding of food preparation fundamentals.
  3. Able to follow recipes.
  4. Sound knowledge of food allergies and foodborne illnesses.
  5. Basic mathematical skills.
  6. Proficient knife handling skills.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  8. Available to work shifts, public holidays, and weekends.

Schedule:

We offer flexible scheduling options, including 10 hour shifts, 12 hour shifts, and 8 hour shifts. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, public holidays, and weekends.

Location:

The successful candidate will be required to commute or relocate to Botany, NSW.

Work Authorization:

Australia work authorization is required.
