Risk and Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring strong governance practices, supporting a proactive risk culture, and maintaining our commitment to regulatory obligations and service excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead compliance testing, incident management, and control effectiveness programs
  • Provide high-quality risk and compliance reporting to senior leadership
  • Maintain and enhance risk registers, frameworks, and compliance systems
  • Identify and manage operational and regulatory risks, supporting root cause analysis and remediation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve controls and risk awareness across teams
  • Deliver practical, risk-based guidance and be a trusted advisor to senior leaders
  • Monitor legislative and policy compliance (e.g. PHI, Privacy Act, internal policies)
  • Champion a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an operational Risk & Compliance role
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
