Senior Formulation/Process Scientist Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Formulation/Process Scientist to join our Technical Services Team in Carole Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing oversight of technical and formulation knowledge for product transfers, new product launches, validations, and process improvement activities.

As a Senior Formulation/Process Scientist, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple projects and directing planning and development of troubleshooting initiatives, and formulation and process improvement activities at Carole Park manufacturing sites.
  • Developing and executing trial batches to support improvements.
  • Participating in the introduction of new products or product health projects.
  • Reviewing annual product reviews and assisting in defining corrective actions.
  • Assisting the Technical Service Department in defining investigative and validation criteria.
  • Reviewing and approving manufacturing investigations related to product quality, engineering trials, and validation protocols and reports.
  • Assisting in educating and training local technical services and manufacturing personnel in formulation process control, and design concepts.
  • Writing and reviewing formal reports regarding product launch, investigation, process improvement, status, and resolution.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Pharmaceutical experience with emphasis on drug development, process development, and manufacturing.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, able to analyze complex data and provide effective solutions.
  • Mastery of mathematical principles, including statistical computations.
