Job Summary:

The Department of Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide clinical nursing leadership in a contemporary acute care practice setting. This role involves advanced nursing care within the scope of practice, working collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager to undertake nursing assessments, contribute to planning, and coordinate the delivery of services to patients admitted to the Acute Medical Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provides clinical nursing leadership in a contemporary acute care practice setting
- Undertakes nursing assessments, contributes to planning, and coordinates the delivery of services to patients
- Develops effective relationships with other service providers across the hospital and within the community to improve services and service access

About the Team:

The Acute Medical Unit is a 25-bed high acuity unit focusing on Acute Medicine, with a strong multidisciplinary approach to healthcare. The unit fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for learning, including access to professional and career development, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and recognition.

What We Offer:

- Permanent, part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position
- 28 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date
- Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum (pro rata)
- 11.5% superannuation contribution
- Access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible

Eligibility:

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
