The Homemaker role involves providing high-quality hospitality services in a residential aged care setting.
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime and maintaining effective household processes with cleanliness and safety in mind.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering food to residents at preferred meal times
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the household area
- Ensuring adequate stock levels of self-service items
- Collaborating with Care Partners to deliver hospitality goals and maintain a positive household culture
- Creating a "home-like" experience during mealtimes through table settings, ambiance, and aromas
- Engaging with residents during mealtime and supporting their involvement in setup, preparation, and cleanup
- Understanding and implementing special diet needs and preferences
- Modeling values of kindness, connection, optimism, and integrity
- Experience in hospitality or care services, preferably in residential aged care
- Warm, approachable communication skills with residents and team members
- Ability to use IT systems and willingness to learn new tools
- Capacity to work well in a team and prioritize resident-centered care
- Physical ability to perform hands-on tasks and willingness to assist as needed
- Certification or willingness to obtain a National Criminal History Check suitable for aged care
