Job Title:

Production Team Lead for Contract Manufacturing

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Production Team Lead, Contract Manufacturing who has strong communication and interpersonal skills to oversee the overall performance of the assigned focus factory for Contract manufacturing products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate Production Activities: Co-ordinate activities of production build cells to achieve planned production targets and improve cell's performance
  • Monitor Productivity: Monitor variables affecting build cell productivity and initiate corrective action and/or continuous improvement
  • Solve Quality Issues: Support the investigation and countermeasures of production quality issues
  • Review Design & Process Changes: Review design & process changes for production readiness
  • ID Requirements for Tools: Identification of requirements for jigs, fixtures, tools, and production equipment
  • Deliver Daily Operations Plan: Deliver day-to-day production plan (materials, machines, workforce) and evaluate overall capabilities to drive improvement (QDIP)
  • Supervise Operations: Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with EHS and other company policies and procedures
  • Maintain Equipment: Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations
  • Analyze Challenges: Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems
Requirements:
  • Ability to Assemble Devices: Demonstrated ability and aptitude to assemble and test complex electromechanical devices
  • Good Communication Skills: Good communication skills in written and spoken English with ability to provide clear instructions to operators
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading a production team
  • Time Management: Ability to define and work to deadlines
  • Computer Skills: Good computer skills (ERP skills also a benefit)
  • Experience with High Part Count Manufacturing: Experience with 'high part count manufacturing' and Kanban parts replenishment desirable
