Job Description

The Cybersecurity Governance Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall cyber posture of the organization by leading the assessment program across equity businesses. This newly created position sits within the Cyber Security Governance Team and offers the opportunity to shape and improve cybersecurity frameworks, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to strategic governance initiatives.

Reporting to the Cyber Governance Lead, the analyst will identify risks, advise on mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. The role involves managing external vendors conducting assessments, monitoring remediation efforts, setting up and overseeing external attack surface monitoring and risk tracking, and advising subsidiaries and brokers on cybersecurity and IT-related matters.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field, along with proven experience in cybersecurity and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). Hands-on experience conducting assessments and audits is essential, as well as familiarity with ASD Essential Eight (E8) and frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, APRA CPS234. Industry certifications such as CompTIA, ISC, ISACA, SANS are highly regarded. Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills are also required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
