About This Role

This leadership opportunity involves overseeing the delivery of person-centered care, working closely with residents, families, and staff to coordinate care plans and ensure they are tailored to each resident's needs.

You will oversee medication management and staff performance, maintain communication with families, assess care plans, and manage clinical incidents. Your role will also involve leading a team of professionals, providing mentorship and professional development, ensuring the team is working within their scope.

Additionally, you will support recruitment, retention, and staff development while contributing to budget planning and monitoring financial reports. Ensuring compliance with Aged Care Standards and supporting quality improvement initiatives will be key parts of your responsibilities.

Requirements

You hold tertiary qualifications in Nursing and are currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience. You have a proven track record in a senior clinical care role, particularly in aged care, and have demonstrated leadership and influencing skills.

Your understanding of care assessments in the aged care sector, including the use of AN-ACC, is extensive, and you possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

You have a sound understanding of relevant legislation and experience in meeting Australian Aged Care Quality Standards and Outcomes. Your commitment to the person-centred approach in aged care and providing customer-centric care is evident, along with proficiency in using a wide range of IT applications relevant to clinical care.

You also bring experience in geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, palliative care, dementia care, or other relevant fields for individuals aged 65 and older.
